Objectives

Our goals were: 1. Increasing the level and quality of school work - improving the level of teachers and school employees, developing language competences, using modern teaching methods, implementing new technologies, motivating students to achieve better results, developing teamwork and cooperation skills with students and parents, and acquiring new management practices from other European schools. 2. Expanding international cooperation - effective cooperation with foreign schools gives us greater opportunities to carry out student exchanges, and thus makes our school more attractive to students. 3. Enriching the school's offer - it was important for us to present students with a wider range of development opportunities, both at school (interest clubs) and during student exchanges. 4. Increasing the prestige of the institution in the local environment - implementing an international project increases the prestige of the school, especially in a small town. Additionally, we wanted to emphasize the European aspect of our facility.

Background

At the time of submitting the application, the school's priority was to strengthen and develop teachers' key competences. The basic assumption of the project was the belief that highly qualified, competent and constantly improving staff is the path to students' success. In the previously created European Development Plan, we diagnosed the needs of the institution in the perspective of its development, both in terms of improving the quality of teaching, employee qualifications, management, enriching the school's offer, and international cooperation. It is worth mentioning that our school is a unique institution on the map of Poland. We were the first secondary public school in the country to introduce a grading system without grades. An important reason for applying for funding for the courses was the desire to maintain our position and the need to constantly improve the competences of the staff and implement innovations in the school's work. All the above-mentioned aspects were and are extremely important for our facility.
