Implementation of the project was to contribute to: - increasing the level of key competences of students coming to our school, mainly communication in a foreign language, which is a priority in the hotel and tourism industry, - introducing innovative methods of teaching foreign languages conducive to communication and modifying the way of teaching them and leveling the curriculum differences among students (about 50% of students come from smaller towns in the region), -developing students' necessary interpersonal, intercultural and social competences and developing their learning skills, - extensions of teaching methodology in the use of ICT in teaching foreign languages and vocational subjects, - increasing the language competences of school employees resulting from the constantly expanding international cooperation of the school related to the implementation of mobility programs for students and partnership cooperation with other foreign establishments.
Before submitting the application, the need to raise or develop the competences of administration employees and teachers of the school was identified. Participation in the mobility was to enable participants to improve their language competences in order to facilitate the role of guardians of young people leaving for internships under EU project, AIESEC trainees and volunteers coming to our school, as well as better cooperation with foreign partners in numerous projects in which our school participates. The teachers also indicated the need to develop their competences in ICT tools and learn about the latest methods and techniques of teaching a foreign language used by foreign institutions. Therefore, some teachers decided to take part in methodology courses in the field of information technology. The legitimacy of such actions was confirmed by the number of school employees who expressed their willingness to join the project. Moreover, the assumptions of the project were dictated by the policy of the Ministry of National Education and met the horizontal and structural priorities.
