First of all, we wanted to improve the quality of the school and international cooperation. Learn how to create CLIL materials, use modern working methods. Motivate and engage staff for professional development. In addition, we wanted to improve the English language skills of teachers of subjects other than a foreign language. We wanted teachers to use ICT tools and properly include them in the teaching process, also with the use of coding. Our education system has been reformed and our school has become a primary school again. We wanted to implement the experience gained during foreign trainings and transfer the observed good practices regarding, for example, the arrangement of classroom space, project work, creating a friendly learning environment and working in groups.
The main reason for applying for this project was school needs, which we observed during the evaluation and drew appropriate conclusions. We have indicated areas for improvement, i.e. modern teaching tools and methods, increasing the professional competences of employees, increasing professional mobility, the European dimension of the organization as well as improving the language skills of teachers. We are a school with bilingual sections, so we needed the development of knowledge and experience in creating CLIL materials and the use of innovative and activating teaching methods. In addition, technology and modern ICT tools are important in today's world. We wanted to enrich our workshop. Another reason was to improve language skills and openness to other cultures. By changing the type of school from junior high school to primary school, we knew how the involvement and development of teachers are an important element in improving the quality of school work. We wanted to broaden our knowledge about various education systems in Europe, improve our institution management skills, exchange experiences with school management staff from other European countries.
