Background

We applied for this project because Spoleczna Szkola Podstawowa nr 14 is a fairly small school characterized by a very family like and cosy atmosphere. We run a school tutoring program for our students, we implement the use of iPads and we introduce the concepts of Positive Discipline. It’s important for us to make learning dynamic, modern and personalized. We have introduced tutoring program for older students and we strive for extensive personalization of a learning process which will consider our students’ special educational needs. We need to enrich the variety of educational methods and techniques in use, adjust educational materials and create positive atmosphere and communication enabling more effective learning. We draw attention to some significant modern world issues and we desire to improve ecological awareness by, among other things, working with SOLE method in order to let students deal with ecology-oriented tasks during Biology, Physics or Chemistry lessons. What is more, we aim at developing bilingual teaching on lessons and extracurricular activities.
