We wanted our school to be distinguished by the highest quality of its educational offer, with teachers using the latest methods, showing students by their own example that we learn throughout our lifetime. By completing such projects students have the opportunity to develop soft skills and see the power of cooperation. Similarly, teachers - leaving their own comfort zone, working together on a project, performing open lessons, and having an influence on their own workplace, will not only help them build a sense of community but also will increase their motivation and involvement. Teachers who constantly improve their competencies are excellent role models for students, as children and teenagers learn mainly by following an example. In order to instill in young people a willingness to cooperate, it is necessary to know and recognize the benefits it brings, in order to develop the skills of lifelong learning, it is necessary to educate teachers first.
Our project is one of the elements of building a new brand (quality) in the field of education. Improving the language competencies of the staff enables participation in European education as well as in international programs. We also wanted to use ICT tools in the didactic process to a much greater extent, so as to improve the teaching process and move it closer to the European model. Another aim was to introduce CLIL integrated learning. We strive to create a modern school educating young people who are aware of their strengths and weaknesses, who look for new solutions, possessing not only knowledge but also key competencies necessary to function in a rapidly changing world, fluent in English and aware of the importance of multilingualism in today's world. Through inspirations coming from many different European education centers (Malta, UK ), we wanted to find our own development path that would enable our students to develop 21st-century competencies, which, combined with knowledge of the English language, would give students the basis for their further development in the chosen direction, and would also enable them to move in an international environment and be successful on the European labor market.
