The main objective of the project was: To improve the professional and linguistic competence of 7 n-teachers of ZSG-H in working with students with special educational needs and counteracting pathological and socially harmful phenomena in the field of communicative digital competence over a period of 24 months. The main objective was supported by the following specific objectives: 1. improvement of the competences of the n-teachers of ZSG-H in working with SEN pupils 2. the competence of teachers of ZSG-H in counteracting pathological and socially harmful phenomena in the field of digital communication competence was improved 3. improvement of the competence of effective communication in English 4. improved skills in developing teaching materials for working with SEN pupils 5.To learn about and compare inclusive education systems in other EU countries 6.To acquire the competence to model pupils' behaviour in order to reduce cyberbullying 7. widening the circle of potential partners for international cooperation by ZSG-H
The school applied for the project because the main areas of the school requiring improvement were identified. These were: 1. insufficient competence of n-teachers to work with a student with special educational needs 2. insufficient achievements in counteracting pathological and socially harmful phenomena in terms of digital communication competences, i.e. digital interaction, information sharing, knowledge of netiquette and digital identity management skills 3 Insufficient percentage of n-teachers benefiting from professional development based on school needs For a number of years, ZSG-H has seen an increasing number of students who have a disability and special education needs assessment. The school is a mainstream secondary school with the largest number of SEN students in Toruń. Related to this problem is the lack of satisfactory opportunities for further education. We also observed the school's inadequate achievements in counteracting pathological and socially harmful phenomena, mainly in the area of communicative digital competence. We observed a desensitisation to hate speech, its entry into everyday language.
