We wanted our school to stand out for the highest quality of educational offerings, teachers using the latest methods, showing students by their example that we are lifelong learners. It is by implementing projects that students have the opportunity to develop soft skills and see the power of cooperation. Similarly, teachers - stepping out of their comfort zone, working together on a project, open lessons, and engaging in school branding can translate very positively into a sense of community, and a sense of influence in creating one's own workplace is a fundamental element that influences employee engagement. Teachers who constantly improve their competencies are excellent role models for students, as children and young people learn mainly by example. In order to instill in young people a desire to work together, one needs to know and recognize the benefits of doing so oneself, in order to develop lifelong learning skills, one needs to educate oneself.
The New School - New Start project was one of the elements of building a new brand in education, an attempt to take advantage of the effects of education reform to create a modern institution that educates young people who are aware of their strengths and weaknesses, who are characterized by the courage to look for new solutions, who have not only knowledge, but also the key competencies necessary to function in a rapidly changing world, who are fluent in English and aware of the importance of multilingualism in today's world. We wanted our school to be distinguished by the highest quality of educational offerings, teachers using the latest methods, showing students by their example that we are lifelong learners. Through inspiration from a number of different European learning centers (Ireland, UK, Malta, Spain) and cooperation with partner high schools from France and Italy, we wanted to find our own path of development that would enable our students to develop 21st century competencies, which, combined with language skills, would give students a foundation for their further development in their chosen field of study, as well as enable them to navigate the international environment and succeed in the European labor market.
