Background

Educational reform forcing structural and curricular changes, high expectations of parents and students, and in particular, the challenges posed by European education and the requirements of the 21st century labor market put our school in need of making many changes. In search of the answers what changes to introduce we conducted a number of surveys and a diagnosis of the current situation of our school. We have redefined the needs of the facility in perspective of its development, we have set goals for its European development and we have defined actions that will allow us to achieve the set goals. We wanted to prepare professionally for changes, so that young people studying in the reformed school could feel confidentso that they can acquire knowledge in an interesting and effective way, using modern methods. To achieve it we decided to show the students that we first have to educate ourselves and, therefore, by our own example encourage the school community to be active and innovative. We assumed a two-stage implementation of the assumed goals. The first stage is the mobility of teachers aiming at acquiring the necessary qualifications and knowledge and prepare them for the implementation of the second stage, which is foreign exchanges.
