Objectives

The school's teaching council reported the need for professional development towards the development of key competences through the observation of teachers from partner schools in Europe. As a method of work, the work with students using the project method was of particular interest. The offer of participation in the project was addressed to teachers of grades 1-3, common room and pedagogical therapy, so that the youngest students at school could acquire key competences in a way that activates them from the first days of their learning adventure. Teachers also wanted to improve their own competences in the field of English in order to be able to take full advantage of the benefits of foreign mobilities. Appropriate steps were taken to find facilities that could guarantee the achievement of the project's objectives on School Education Gateway.

The choice of the path of development of the school was based on a common discussion. The Key Competences in School project was created on the basis of an analysis of the school's needs in the field of shaping key competences in teachers and students. It was found that the more developed key competences in teachers, the greater the emphasis on them in the created lesson plans in the daily work of teachers.
