Objectives

In response to the formulated needs and challenges, the objectives were defined. The most important results achieved are the increased activity in job searching and employment opportunities on the local and European labour market of the beneficiaries through the participation of 47 students in foreign internships and the strengthening of the attractiveness and quality of the educational offer of ZSP No. 2 in the field of vocational education and training through internships of 5 teachers in the period of December 2020 – December 2022. Through the implementation of activities in an international environment, the goals of improving the language and professional competences of the participants, developing a sense of belonging to the cultural heritage of their own region, country and Europe, shaping appropriate civic and social attitudes, and promoting the school in European countries have been achieved . The project has also contributed to the modernization of the teaching methods, e.g. through the use of ICT techniques and to develop the management competencies of the staff, e.g. in the field of coordinating EU projects and obtaining external funds.

Background

The need for implementation of the project was a response to the diagnosis carried out in ZSP No. 2, extended by the analysis of documentation, surveys among the school community, analysis of the needs of employers and the labour market. As part of its summary, a SWOT analysis regarding the functioning and development of the school was made, on the basis of which the European School Development Plan was developed. Another completed project within the "Vocational education and training" sector was successful. It confirmed that the participation of students and teaching staff in mobilities results in improving the quality of vocational education provided at our school and comprehensive development of participants. The program of internships/traineeships allowed the participants to broaden their knowledge and professional skills. Completion of internships/apprenticeships will make it easier for participants to start on the labour market and meet the requirements of employers, which mainly relate to professional experience and professional competences, with particular emphasis on communicativeness, conscientiousness, independence, teamwork and analytical thinking.
