Participating in our Project students will got acquainted with European labour market. They acquaired new professional relations and vocational experience. Placement in Spain probably gave them equal opportunities in comparison with young people from other European countries. It helped students to develop personally and professionally, it also increased their openness and tolerance towards other cultures and it gave them consciousness that they have ability to live in united Europe.
The most important goal of our school is to increase the quality and innovation of vocational education, school development taking into account current European priorities. Seeing interest in foreign vocational internships we conducted surveys to diagnose students’, vocational teachers’ and local employers’ needs. Respondents indicated their needs, and problems connected with vocational education of our students. The results of surveys have been captured in European development plan of our school and they have been taken into account during the planning and implementation of the project “Time for Internship”. Our project had the following priorities: - preparation of students to European labour market, - obtaining new vocational experience through professional, high quality placement, - increase of confidence in own abilities, building students’ initiative and decrease of unemployment risk in the future, - increase of intercultural awareness – obtaining knowledge about Spanish culture, - learning a foreign language in practice, - development of consciousness of being a member of EU, - internationalization of our school, increasing its competitiveness on local schools market which will contribute to better recruitment.
