The main objective of the project was to acquire and increase the professional and linguistic competences of 64 students from mechatronic, mechanical, ICT and advertising technical schools. In addition to hard competences, we wanted to enable the participants to develop soft skills that will make it easier for them to overcome barriers on the domestic and foreign labour markets. As an educational institution, we aimed to broaden the school's educational offer by providing high-quality internships abroad. Our ongoing challenge is to build solid partnerships with industry companies and foreign partners. By disseminating the results of the project, we want to promote the brand of our school among local and national employers as a modern and European institution in order to be able to establish real and lasting cooperation. We also saw in the implementation of another project an opportunity to enrich the knowledge and experience of the staff in the implementation of EU projects in the field of student mobility and to improve the organisation of the school's work in terms of managing the work of the team of teachers.
Zespół Szkół Technicznych i Licealnych started activities in the Erasmus+ programme in 2018. After the positive experience of the first project, both the staff and the school community expressed a desire to continue the school's internationalisation process. We applied for the 'Youth Vocational Activity' project because our priority is to equalise educational opportunities and thoroughly prepare young people to enter the labour market. The underdeveloped economic zone and the insufficient motivation and potential of local companies, which are unable to support our students in practical vocational training, led us to seek access to new methodological solutions and technological resources. Participation in the Erasmus+ programme proved to be such a solution. We are aware that this is a long-term process, which is why we are keen on continuity of activities and stable development in the spheres of school life in line with the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme.
