Objectives

While implementing the project under the Erasmus + program, we wanted to prepare our students for the changing world. We also wanted to make them ready for the community labor market by combining knowledge and practical skills with an appropriate level of communicative English, as well as by stimulating them to acquire new professional qualifications, openness to mobility, change and cooperation in a diverse working environment. As a school, we wanted to strengthen the quality and effectiveness of education. Moreover, our aim was to have local influence on entrepreneurs as part of cooperation in vocational education. As a result, the implementation of the project has allowed us to raise the European dimension of the school's functioning.

Background

The Tadeusz Kościuszko Secondary School No. 1 in Tomaszów Mazowiecki is a vocational training institution that understands the needs of the developing industry. In order to meet the challenges posed by modern European education we strive to ensure that our students have the opportunity to learn new technologies, to improve the ability to communicate in English, also in professional English, as well as to develop social and interpersonal competences. The actions taken by our school and the implementation of EU projects under the Erasmus + program are aimed at improving language competences of the students and supporting the most important task of the school, which is to educate creative and entrepreneurial people, aware of the reality around them, able to face the problems of tomorrow, who are at the same time equipped with knowledge and skills and who know social rules needed to function in the European community.
