The main objective of „New compences thanks to foreign internships” project is to increase crucial competences and skills through the mobility of students attending vocational schools and to deepen their practical knowledge that will be needed in the future to work in the profession. It should be noted that one of the objectives of the Erasmus+ action and Learning Mobility is "gaining practical work experience". It is also important to improve the language and intercultural skills that mobility participants acquire during a 3-week internship. The next objective must be to raise competences in the field of modern working methods, new technologies, increasing competitiveness in the labor market and acquiring skills that go beyond the school curriculum. In regard to schools participating in the consortium, it should be pointed out to increase their attractiveness by offering them to take advantage of foreign internships and transferring good practices in the field of education from Germany to Poland. The participation of teachers from schools as carers allows to see the way of conducting classes abroad which leads to more attractive organization of lessons in the country and increase their professional competences.
The key premise for applying for the project was the desire to improve the skills of young people who are learning in vocational schools in the dual system, i.e. at school and in the craft industry. The main objective of the project was to acquire new knowledge and improve professional skills of the students. The project was also intended to gain knowledge that students wouldn’t acquire at school due to the lack of coverage of certain issues in their learning curriculum, such as study of a day and evening make-up and the basics of cosmetics and care that are not included in polish learning carriculum, although these skills definitely raise the attractiveness of the working place and encourages clients to use its services. In addition, the internship will increase the chance of students to pass the journeyman exam with better results and enhance their key competences. This will make them aware of the importance of learning in order to obtain a profession and consequently a stable work in the future. We also want to improve students’ language and intercultural skills and to let them learn more about cultural and social differences and to strengthen the European identity among the participants.
