Objectives

Professional internships complemented the teaching process. Their goal was: - applying in practice the knowledge and skills acquired during school education - gaining new knowledge and practical skills in the field of nursery, - performing professional tasks in a French working environment, - shaping the right attitude to work: taking care of the quality of work, timely completion of tasks, development of own initiative in the work environment, acquisition of teamwork skills, - improving language competences, in particular in the industry language in the field of forestry.

Background

The project responded to the high demand of ZSL students for practical classes, during which they could use theoretical knowledge, verify/update it and raise the level of professional and social competences, which are important for every job. Through the implementation of the project, ZSL supported the preparation of students to enter the industry - forestry job market, where there is a lot of competition for every job. The situation on the industry labor market forces its participants to have high and confirmed professional qualifications and competences due to the fact that it is still an employers' market (organizational units of the State Forests State Forests). The students who participated in the project came mainly from small towns and villages, some from dysfunctional families, with low financial status or single-parent families. For this reason, their professional start is difficult, and the project has contributed to increasing their employability. Project activities created an opportunity to gain professional experience in a recognized company, improve professional and social competences, confirmed by an international document.
