Objectives

After consultations of the project team with the staff and young people, we agreed that first and foremost we wanted to improve the quality of vocational training in our school by giving our students the opportunity of high-level internships, which would be a great complement to our educational offer. This was the main objective of our project. We also set the following specific objectives: Objective 1: to enable the acquisition of practical skills for the European labour market. Objective 2: development of the students' foreign language skills with an emphasis on vocational vocabulary. Objective 3: personal development of the students and broadening their knowledge about the world around them.

Background

Our overseas placement projects are based on the school's European Development Plan, which we developed in 2017 and which we update each year with past experience and current challenges and needs. In this plan we have set out basic needs that would be impossible to achieve without Erasmus+ funding: 1.conducting internships abroad as a permanent element of the quality of vocational education. In the era of adapting vocational education to the changing labour market, the practical element of learning is increasingly important. During internships and placements, young people can acquire knowledge that they would certainly not acquire in school workshops. 2. maintaining permanent relations with schools/vocational schools from Spain. So far, these schools have hosted us and shown us how they function. Such temporary contacts teach a lot, but in our opinion they are not what we are looking for. We would like to permanently cooperate with at least one vocational school from Europe. 3. To develop permanent cooperation with employers. For the development of vocational training at our school it is important not only to work with Polish employers, but also to gain experience in cooperation with employers abroad.
