The main objective of the project was to increase vocational mobility, competence and competitiveness on the labor market of 35 ZS2 students. The project included the following specific objectives: Expanding the vocational competences of 35 ZS2 students through internships in foreign enterprises; increasing vocational mobility of 35 students; development of social competences of 35 students of ZS2. Despite the huge problems related to the COVID pandemic, all goals were fully achieved. What is more, the project enabled the development of the competences of the project team. It also taught us how to deal with very difficult situations. It allowed for the development and implementation of new security procedures and project documents (including new recruitment regulations, new partnership agreements). The project strengthened ZS2's potential to implement international activities and became a direct cause of establishing direct cooperation with new hosting organisations in Italy and Spain.
The project was implemented as a response to the educational and development needs of ZS2 (Zespół Szkół Nr 2 im. Jana Wyżykowskiego w Lubinie - technical secondary school), in particular the needs of our students and staff. The project responded to the key needs of the school, such as: the need to guarantee students of ZS2 a high-quality practical element of vocational education at the European level in the form of international internships; the need to properly prepare young people for independent life and work, also by shaping pro-social attitudes, teamwork skills, tolerance, respect for European values, etc.; improving the language and soft skills of students and teachers of our organisation; the need to increase the quality of implemented development projects. Implementation of the project enabled us to establish contact and build a network of hosting organizations in different countries. The project also contributed to meeting the needs defined in the European Development Plan of our institution.
