Objectives

Zespół Szkół Ponadpodstawowych w Bystrzycy Kłodzkiej (ZSP) defined detailed goals at the project implementation stage, which included: Increasing vocational competences and mobility of ZSP students (taking into account increase in vocational, language and social competences), increasing competences of future project participants by updating preparatory courses to meet market expectations, increasing international partnership by developing cooperation with existing partners, increasing the quality of future projects by implementing a training mechanism for project team members. These goals assumed the implementation of the project in standard geopolitical conditions. Unfortunately, external factors such as the pandemic, the armed conflict in Ukraine, the need to implement the project for over 12 additional months, significantly affected the possibilities and priorities in terms of achieving the indicated goals.

Background

Our school already has experience in the implementation and proper settlement of several European projects under the Erasmus+ and POWER programmes. Projects broadened the development horizon of our facility, but on the other hand, made us realize how much we still have to achieve in the area of improving our organisation. Thanks to the work of the strategic team led by the Principal, we were able to identify key areas requiring additional involvement at the stage of preparation of the application form. Among the most important of them were: Improvement of the quality of teaching and preparation of students for the requirements of the European labor market, Development of the project team and the quality of implemented activities, Improvement the language skills of the staff, Increase of international cooperation. The main need was to increase the competitiveness of our graduates on the European labor market and to give young people a chance for holistic development, including both vocational and personal aspects.
