Objectives

Lotnicze Zakłady Naukowe we Wrocławiu (LZN) implemented the project that allowed our students: - to gain valuable experience and enhance their vocational qualifications, - to become acquainted with the international job market, learning about working conditions in their profession in other European countries, - to test and improve their foreign language skills, - to become more independent, - to interact with people of different races, nationalities, religions, and cultures. Taking part in the project was, therefore, a valuable component of the participants' preparation process for entering their chosen profession. Firstly, it enabled them to acquire the necessary professional experience, and secondly, it helped them open up to Europe and prepare for the opportunities offered by the European integration process. The school gained a lot of experience, and new procedures were developed in relation to the need for project implementation during the pandemic.

Background

The need for the proposed project arises from the current realities of the job market. Employers expect candidates for positions to have both a broad theoretical knowledge and practical preparation for work in specific roles. Therefore, the quality of the practical component of education offered by schools is extremely important. The dynamic development of specialized sectors such as logistics and mechatronics guarantees a demand for a qualified workforce in the fields specialized by the recipients of this project. However, at the same time, the large number of individuals entering the job market in these industries each year means that in order to have a chance at employment, young people need professional experience and additional advantages such as foreign language proficiency or familiarity with the international environment.
