The main objective of the approved project was to increase the vocational and language skills of 45 students of PZS. The pandemic and the armed conflict in Ukraine made it very difficult for us to implement project activities. Despite this, we managed to fully achieve the target by sending 45 students on international mobilities in 2022 and 2023. An additional objective was to develop the international cooperation of PZS. The project was also to implement activities that meet the needs outlined in the European development plan of the institution. The implementation of these objectives was supported by the fulfillment of intermediate objectives, which were: 1) Development of the interpersonal skills of 45 students, an increase in their self-esteem, tolerance, and resourcefulness 2) Increasing the knowledge of PZS in the field of building international partnerships and implementing mobility projects 3) Establishing and building cooperation with foreign organizations The project was also to influence the development of the project team and the creation of new procedures for the implementation of development activities.
At the stage of preparing the application for co-financing, our school, Powiatowy Zespół Szkół nr 1 w Sieradzu (PZS) identified key areas that we aimed to improve during the implementation of the project. These were: 1) Verification and improvement of the education process for students of our institution in terms of preparation for employment in the European labor market, 2) Building and development of the PZS's potential and gaining experience, 3) Development of the PZS's cooperation with foreign partners. The implementation of the project proved to be essential to increasing the school's potential in the presented areas. A key aspect was also the desire to strengthen the professional and personal competencies of students studying at our school through the opportunity to participate in international internships. Due to the implementation of activities during the pandemic, the project led to a radical increase in the competences of the project team and improved crisis management mechanisms. This was due to the need to implement the project during the pandemic.
