We wanted to strive to develop the competencies and skills of the Board of Directors and educators: Trainers and Coaches who also serve as Mentors in the following topics: 1. the Board of Directors of CIE was to increase its competence in managing retraining projects for CIE employees, particularly in supporting educators in an international and multicultural environment and in dealing with stress. We wanted the Board of Directors, using courses and job shadowing, to be able to observe what solutions are most commonly used in practice and what additional factors are taken into account when making decisions about the team. 2. CIE educators were to improve their skills in language, OL, Coaching that takes place during and after OL, and Mentoring, which is individual support for each participant in our programs. Courses with foreign experts were to expand Educators' knowledge in the topics of logistics organization with different target groups, training for new educators, new developments in OL, supervision as a way to deal with stress and prevent professional burnout, specifics of OL programs tailored to different groups of beneficiaries
Non-vocational education using Outdoor Learning (OL) is very little known in Poland. CIE's strategic goals for the period 2020 - 2025 envisaged, among others: I. creation of the first OL center in Poland based on Polish and foreign models II. implementation of OL for diverse target groups of adults III. development of OL through training and certification of educators, cooperation with foreign beneficiaries, research of OL effectiveness, creation of an international platform for exchange of OL experiences. To achieve these goals, we felt that CIE should strengthen international cooperation and the mobility of its own team. It has been and remains a priority for CIE that our entire team should seek and use innovative solutions to facilitate the development of the organization, strengthen staff and improve cooperation with partners, effective recruitment and service to beneficiaries. Ultimately, CIE also wants to certify staff of other institutions mainly in OL through knowledge acquired from foreign partners and based on programs currently run by CIE. In this regard, it was and still is essential for us to participate in courses and job shadowing in organizations professionally dealing with OL.
