Objectives

Firstly, we aimed to increase our team's competence in delivering inclusive theater workshops and classes in order to be able to work even more effectively with a diverse range of populations, including in particular seniors and migrants, who form an important part of the city center community. Developing skills in methods of working with the body and movement through somatic practices was key to achieving our educational mission. Secondly, the project aimed to build and strengthen international cooperation. By exchanging experiences with organizations working in similar settings in different parts of Europe, we aspire to bring innovative solutions to our educational and artistic programmes. Another objective was to integrate our activities into the new surroundings and community of the center of Warsaw. We wanted our activities to respond to the specific needs and expectations of the residents, while maintaining our existing ties with the Praga community. Finally, we hoped to develop the language skills of our team, which would allow us to operate more effectively internationally and increase our ability to communicate with partners.

Background

In applying for this project, we were driven by the need to adapt and develop in the new environment that our organisation found itself in after being forced to relocate from Warsaw's Praga district to the city centre. This change opened up new opportunities for us to reach out to a diverse community, which presented both a challenge and an opportunity for growth. Our project allowed us to integrate our activities into the new environment and to continue working with our existing audiences. The implementation of the mobility project aimed at our female and male educators was aimed at acquiring new competences and working methods that we could apply in our activities. We wanted to strengthen our team's skills in conducting inclusive workshops and activities, which is essential for working with diverse audiences, including seniors and migrants. In addition, we wanted to draw inspiration from organisations working in similar settings in other parts of Europe. Undertaking mobility activities was also aimed at building and strengthening international cooperation, which would allow for the exchange of experiences, as well as gaining knowledge about the management of cultural and educational organizations.
