The key objectives of the project are: - gaining new knowledge and skills, learning new educational methods and techniques as well as those related to the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities - to open up the organisation and make its members more aware of issues related to equal opportunities and sustainable development - to inspire innovative and novel activities in the field of education and project implementation - increase of English language skills and vocabulary - intercultural integration, gaining new experiences, getting to know partner organisations, increasing the base of existing transnational partners - creation of an environmental strategy - prevention of professional burnout. These objectives resulted from a needs analysis conducted during meetings of OWOP educational staff as part of the creation of the European Development Plan. In addition - giving staff the opportunity to go on courses abroad is an important motivational factor for the team, which was written into the organisation's development strategy.
OWOP is an organisation that supports other NGOs and is registered in the Register of Training Institutions, maintained by the WUP in Białystok. We currently have 16 permanent employees (of which 14 are involved in education) , we cooperate with 12 external trainers. We have benefited and continue to benefit from many opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills, enabling our employees to take part in training courses organised by ROPS, the Marshal's Office, the Federation, NIW and others. We have introduced the possibility of taking an additional 4 days of training leave into the organisation's internal regulations. Despite being very active in raising competences, we noticed educational needs of our staff beyond the offer available on the domestic market. These were mainly due to the need to adapt our skills, working methods and educational offerings to changes in the world around us. We have also noticed that contacts with organisations operating in other European countries greatly broaden our horizons and enable us to exchange experiences, which results in new ideas.
