With regard to the needs and areas of Graceland's activities that needed improvement, the following objectives have been identified: - increasing knowledge and competences in the field of maths education for adults (6 people) - increasing language skills (6 people) - increasing the knowledge of strategic management, including building a comprehensive educational offer for adults as part of non-formal education (4 people) - extension of Graceland's educational offer (2 new training cycles in the field of mathematical education) - developing new contacts in order to build new partnerships and international networks (2 new institutions) - developing the institutional potential of the organization expressed by an increased number of activities, learners, partners and projects compared to 2020.

Background

The project is consistent with both the statutory activities and the development strategy of the Graceland Foundation. As indicated in the application form, before 2019 our activities focused on supporting immigrants, including facilitating their integration with local communities. In 2019, a new cooperation was established with the University of the Third Age in Rybnik. As a result of workshops and consultations, we decided to expand the Foundation's activities and target groups to seniors by offering them handicraft courses, literary evenings, Silesian history workshops, as well as caring for mental health and preventing anxiety and depression through logic games, mathematics, puzzles, etc. These activities were included in the foundation's action plan for 2020 and the following years. This resulted in the need to improve the skills of our staff both in the field of conducting math classes with adults and improving competences related to developing educational offer for seniors The implemented mobility was also to help improve the knowledge of the English language and build and develop a network of foreign partners.
