Objectives

Young people live in a world that is more connected, more changeable and more complex than ever before. We play a key role in it. In the future, we will be decision-makers and we will play a major role in making decisions. But before this happens, we need to get to know each other and our neighbors, as well as young people from other countries, to assess, diversify and solve future problems, especially in the context of cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue. This project will allow us to get to know each other and give space to listen and understand different points of view. Interculturalism is a challenge that is currently very important in a changing Europe. The project will contribute in many ways to the individual learning process of each person participating in the youth exchange, especially on the subject of interculturalism and intercultural dialogue as well as reflection on the changing world. The exchange will be based on the promotion of multiculturalism in Europe and the development of international cooperation, including cooperation in overcoming barriers and opportunities to establish new contacts and through acquired knowledge and experience. This will be a step towards building a civil society: active, open to the world, ambitious, which can accept cultural diversity and help in the assimilation and integration of immigrants with the local community. This is an important feature especially today, when Europe is struggling with the influx of people from the Middle East, which is culturally different, and in Europe there are many prejudicial stereotypes about these communities. A better understanding of themselves, the perception of various issues or other people, as well as the reasons for such behavior will make it possible to sensitize participants to existing problems and to indicate possible exits. Therefore, it is particularly important to shape the above-mentioned attitudes, which will be a response to the problems Europe is facing. In addition, the exchange will allow participants to much more independent activities, which is why workshops led by national groups are designed to allow participants to implement their own ideas. It is planned that the Exchange should promote the idea of integration, solidarity, which, as a result, will be a continuation of our Exchange. Participants will learn how through cooperation, dialogue and mutual understanding, barriers and stereotypes can be easily overcome, which will speed up the process of European integration. This will allow the development of common positions, as well as the preparation of materials facilitating the further promotion of the idea of European integration, tolerance and cultural awareness. This will happen thanks to the dissemination of the project results and its idea to a wider spectrum of people, including groups of diverse target groups.
