Objectives

• Educate to multiculture through the knowledge of some aspects of non-European cultures and mutual exchange: we could achieve that young people living in Europe could connect and make things up in accordance to their skills and competences, exchanging knowledge and creating different pieces and tools that can help other youth to understand European values and the youth vision and perspective that nowadays portrays their opinion and their hopes. • Accepting cultural diversity through the values of respect and tolerance, support and understanding: the project wanted the young people to create a melting pot, a familiar frame of cultural mixture, inclusivity and EU values. The group had widely demonstrated the willingness to go through activities with curiosity, happiness and commitment. Young people very highly representing the picture of a multicultural EU with participants who are both natives and residents in the involved countries; indeed, we had young people originally from Zimbabwe, Iraq, India, Rwanda, Brazil, and also first generation of native coming from mixed families (Turkish/French, Italo/French, etc.) and minorities (gipsy family origins, LGBTQI, etc.). Some of them were into social inclusion category, some others not. • Encourage the enhancement of cultural and cultural diversity international dimension in Europe: youth themselves made clear through the activities development that the EU they want is inclusive and opened. Through their artistic pieces, for example, they portrayed their hopes to be one united family under the same union. The knowledge acquired among them has been highly valuable and of big impact, especially when sharing their stories, their experiences and their own perspectives that could give a glance of how and what do they think, what they would change, how they would turn negative things and facts into proactive and positive stories of empowerment. • Facilitate the social and educational integration of youth, young professionals and students on-EU citizens or migrants: the young group has show openness even in delicate topics and a commitment for becoming change-makers and advocates of social inclusion. This is one of the most visible achievements of this project: all of them have been attentive and ready to listen and share, trying to immerse in different backgrounds and contexts of living. When it turned to migration and integration topics, we could see how they want to have an outreach, how they would change some paradigms of negative experiences they heard about or which they experienced directly. It has been a great moment for them. • Promote education for active citizenship and solidarity: high results have been reached during the youth exchange under this aspect. All productions (podcasts, poetries, theatre pieces, TED Talks, etc.) plus the growing scale of activities led both by youth leaders and youngsters have composed a puzzle of intentions and activism that still now has an impact. After the project, youth returned home enriched and ready to multiply their learning through impact workshops which they executed online and frontally to other youth. This aspect made them promoters and actors of the change themselves. • Facilitate the passage of information and constructive exchange of lived experiences: young people developed and refined competences and skills both in expressing their opinions positively and without frictions + they could give life examples through their knowledge and stories. Also, many of them had direct experiences through other educational activities (both formal and non-formal education) that could give them access to information that they could filter to others and give as examples. • Convey the importance of the Erasmus + Program through European values: participants were partially acknowledged of the Erasmus+ Programme, but many of them were newcomers who have started a mobility journey. We are aware through our partners that the majority of them keeps being engaged in activities of this type. Two of them became youth leaders in other projects thanks to the support of their SOs.
