Objectives

With this project we want to improve and facilitate the knowledge of youth workers towards the use of drama techniques and NFE methods, developing its competences and skills with those subjects, because we have seen on a survey, there’s many youth workers who doesn’t know that much about how to implement those methods, and some of them don’t even know their existence. We also intend to improve the attitude and arise awareness towards gender issues, inequity, and stereotypes in society, focusing on because through them we will be able to change social perceptions about gender, they can be the initial point of change. Finally, we want to change the ideas that we as a society have about gender, ideas such as generalizations and stereotypes that as we see every day and our survey showed to us, are deeply rooted in the culture, we also have the idea that provoking a change in the life and ideas of the participants, could serve as a multiplier effect, not only in their personal life, but they would be able to teach about and know how to detect the different gender issues in our society. In summary, we want to change ideas, be the spark to start the change in society, teach or guide in knowing about gender, it’s issues and show the participants different techniques, a didactic one, and instruct them about how to implement them. We decided we want to focus this training course in supporting the professional development of those who work in education, training in Non-Profit Organizations or in youth organizations and give an innovative view improving the quality of teaching, training and youth work across Europe by implementing non-formal education methods and gender issues awareness together with tools how to detect, prevent and fight against inequalities and discrimination.
