Objectives

The project assume participation of 45 young people and 3 leaders in 7-days long workshops taking place in Slawa in Lubusz voivodeship from 31st of August to 6th of September 2020. In workshops will participate 3 countries: Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. Hosting country is Poland. The "Ready, set, graffiti" project is a continuation of the previous "Graffiti - more than art" project. Based on the final evaluation and feedback from the participants, we want to take the graffiti-related action again. The previously developed graffiti theme is diversity. This time we will use graffiti to stimulate public awareness and increase interest in the topic of eco and environmental protection. During the previous workshops, we were sharing opinions on topics related to environmental protection, as well as ideas on how, starting with changes related to ourselves, to introduce the ideas of sustainable development. We are aware that we can say a lot through art, which is why through modern forms of communication we would like to draw the public's attention to ecological activities. We chose Slawa in Lubusz voivodeship for the place of mobility. The town is a tourist destination due to the presence of the lake and surrounding forests. In such places, the risk of environmental degradation is particularly high due to mass tourism, especially in the summer months. We believe that it is important for places with special natural values to be aesthetic and well-kept as long as possible. To achieve this, we want to express our concern and interest in the topic related to the protection of natural resources by means of art, in this case street art. The main goal of the project is to increase the knowledge and skills of project participants in using innovative methods to promote ecological behavior through street art during 7 days of workshops in Slawa. The workshops will be conducted using the following methods: - brainstorming / discussion, - public probe, - movie, - work in pairs / groups, - workshops, - display/ animations.
