Objectives

By implementing this project, we wanted to reduce consumption among project participants and the local community, and we also wanted to make young people and the local community aware of environmental problems through, for example, living in accordance with the principles of zero waste. One of the key needs was the exchange of experiences with young people from abroad regarding the processing of used items and food leftovers, thanks to cooperation with a partner institution, it was possible to exchange insights on environmental protection in partner countries. Moreover, a very important need was to make young people aware of the sense of agency regarding speaking out on matters important for society. We found the results of research on the activity of young people on the Internet, conducted by specialized institutions. The above-mentioned research shows that young people spend a lot of time on the Internet, mainly browsing social networking sites. Most importantly, young people passively consume content posted on the Internet. Together with a partner organization, we decided that the Internet, and more precisely the websites used by young people, is an ideal space for publishing valuable content, and presenting it in an attractive way will allow you to reach a larger group of young recipients. YouTube is the most frequently mentioned source of knowledge about the world by young people. In the context of the changing climate on Earth, young people wanted to take action to stop climate change, and decided to share their ideas for being more eco-friendly with their peers on the Internet. Project goals: - spreading the zero waste idea among young people, - stimulating a pro-ecological attitude among young people and the local community, - reflection on learning and using modern technologies in the context of promoting environmental protection and the zero waste idea. The objectives of the project were related to the objectives of the Erasmus + program in the action of youth exchanges by increasing the level of key competences (i.e. increasing the ability to communicate in a foreign language, through contacts with young people from another country, increasing IT competences by acquiring the ability to use advanced tools for creating, editing and editing short films, increasing learning skills - learning through experience, development social and civic competences during the project - work in groups during preparation for the exchange, cooperation during the exchange, as well as increasing cultural awareness and expression through role plays, filming, etc.). Moreover, the project involved people with fewer opportunities - pupils of partner organizations - their participation was in line with the priorities of the Erasmus + program.
