As far as learning and teaching approach is a very global concept and digital sciences have emerged into learning environments and affected both the teaching of educators and the learning of young people, game-based learning which means including knowledge matter of subject into games, can be successfully used to improve both processes. It can happen through using games in the instructions. Nowadays, one of the main issues is to find new ways of grabbing the attention of learners and engaging them in the learning process and civic engagements. Game based learning plays an important role in educating, training by making learners to collaborate, communicate, interact and work in teams. This keeps the interest in learning process, meanwhile solving real-life problems with the help of effective learning process. As the experience shows the knowledge and skills acquired through games are retained longer than information from other learning methods. For the effective learning, we need games that are well designed and well implemented learning tasks. This can combine the learning objectives with the fun and entertainment, providing sustainable knowledge and skills. Having assessed needs of the organisations involved in planning of the project we identified the common interest in game based learning, its methods of non-formal education used in different topics by the youth workers to create innovative, fun and educational environment for the young people and how this is creating bigger challenges while working with young people. At the same time we believe that the diversity of the aforementioned methods(which will be covered during the training and also shared by the participants themselves) could assist youth workers to be updated about various gamification channels of nowadays, involve in their youth work and adapt to young people needs to make the youth work effective, wanted, educative and fun. Effective learning process is one in which you are fully involved in what you are doing. With this project we aim to give space for youth workers and trainers to improve their game- based learning and teaching in their youth work experience and assist young people in enhancement of their soft skills and civic competences through thematic games. The Experiential learning approach will be the base of this training course. According to the objectives of the Erasmus + program, especially the objectives promoted by Key Action 1, the training course will be about: -Comprehending the concept of game based learning in the educational process and how games have their influence in the learning pathway of young people for developing their soft skills and civic competences - Sharing best personal and professional approaches of games, gamification and game based learning in youth work process -Playing and testing Intercultural and civic education games on international level - Creating thematic game elements to be used after the project, in further experience of the participants -Replenishing non-formal education toolbox with new sets of tools and thematic games, used within the project -Coming up with follow-up activities in the principle of multiplication fostering quality improvements in youth work enhancing key competences and skills of young people for participation and social inclusion We consider that this training course as a combination of more common non-formal learning methods, online and digital tools and outdoor experiences, different types of games would make it more efficient and special. It will create a space for the youth workers and trainers to know about the techniques and principles of game based learning, its positive and effective aspects of learning which could be used in educational purposes, as well as for the combination of entertainment and learning process.
