Objectives

Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I will remember. Let me do it and I will understand. This pedagogical maxim, which is over two thousand years old, perfectly reflects the philosophy behind international youth exchanges and meetings. If you want to build a common Europe, you first need to get to know each other, and preferably do something together with your peers from other countries. First of all, the project was an initiative of young people, and the desire to implement it resulted from the genuine need for joint action and increasing the efficiency of young people. By implementing a joint project with our peers from abroad, we could feel first-hand that these few days spent in an international group and joint project work resulted in invaluable benefits, such as: - developing interests, establishing intercultural dialogue through the use of music, theater and dance, breaking cultural barriers, gaining knowledge about the history of art in various dimensions of partner countries, national dances, learning national songs, getting rid of resistance to speaking in a foreign language, gaining courage, checking yourself in action, making new friends. It was a chance for young people to test their ideas in practice and to cooperate with their peers from other countries. After the project, we were able to proudly talk about the achievements of the participants. The interference of adults was limited to the necessary minimum. This project was supported by the so-called non-formal education. And the subject matter took into account the interests of: culture, art, and social affairs. Contemporary Europe is more and more revealing the social differences related not only to migration and intercultural mixing of people, but also resulting from geographical and economic differences. We wanted to implement a project that would sensitize and give young people a chance to get to know the cultural heritage of their continent better, but also to discover new possibilities and perspectives, broadening their horizons and for young people to feel unity in diversity. For this purpose, we implemented the project and thanks to it, young people had access to a different dimension of art, which contributed to the discovery of their own identity resulting from tradition and origin, translated into the artistic dimension. We visited cultural institutions such as the Philharmonic and the Pleciuga Puppet Theater, etc. and provoked young people during the workshops to exchange information about representatives of culture, such as: composers, poets, painters and artists of various genres representing their countries. It served mutual recognition, not only as is usually the case with such initiatives at the culinary level and the ubiquitous post-communist pop-culture in Europe, but by involving young people in preparing multimedia presentations and presenting their own work related to e.g. searching for information on the subject in the most creative way possible. national artists (acquainting with the biography and work of artists of their nationality). The Foundation drew conclusions from previous activities and this time we focused our activities on getting to know different cultures and educating the conscious reception of art at the highest level. To achieve this, we chose three cultural aspects that we explored to get to know each other better: dance, music, theater. The aim of these and all our project and statutory activities is that the youth, who is the future of Europe, will be shaped in the spirit of intercultural awareness and integration, so that we can live better in Europe in the future. The activities in the project were planned in such a way as to build a sense of belonging to the cultural heritage of Europe in young people, thanks to which they could feel more European. Thanks to the joint project, young people were able to control the complexes resulting from the place of residence and economic opportunities in order to exchange their experiences, break down cultural barriers, explore the traditions of partner countries and gain lifelong friendships. The main goal of the project: - International Cultural Zone, i.e. the desire to establish intercultural dialogue through the use of music, theater and dance. Goals serving the main goal: - Breaking down cultural barriers - Acquiring skills, knowledge about the history of art, dance of the partner countries in various dimensions for personal development - Learning national songs of partner countries - Developing the ability to communicate effectively in various intercultural contexts - Increasing young people's reflection on the culture of the participating countries and fostering a sense of European cultural identity - Motivating participants to actively participate in cultural life - Promoting attitudes of openness and tolerance towards other cultures. - Ability to control stress and complexes in contacts with the intercultural community
