A twenty-two-year-old Polish volunteer, based on observations and her own experiences (rejection among a group of peers), spotted the same feelings/ desires and needs of a group of young people at risk of social exclusion, which can only be fulfilled by the collective cooperation of volunteers due to numerous limitations and mental barriers of people with disabilities. The volunteer wants to fight for the rights of disabled, socially isolated people who want to express themselves through art. Integrating in one project, volunteers from different cultures together with people with intellectual disabilities develops qualities such as responsibility, also for the fate of another human being, tolerance, civic activity, trust, openness and creativity. Therefore, volunteers and 15 disabled people will try to break down social barriers and stereotypes. Volunteers, as young able-bodied people want to sensitize and make the society, which has a tendency to discriminate 'otherness’, think and reflect. According to volunteers, the project will solve the diagnosed problems and its implementation at an international level will fulfill the following goals: • developing a learning culture • developing participants' passions and interests • promoting intensive international dialogue • increasing intercultural awareness • strengthening of values such as solidarity and European cohesion • protection of human rights and freedom • preventing social exclusion • promotion of European integration
