Objectives

The concept of the "MOVE - Manufactory of Visual Education" project was created as a result of meetings and discussions of young people associating their future with the film industry. The initiative group consists of young filmmakers - mainly aspiring directors and creative producers - who met at the International Short Film Forum in Warsaw. The youth specified two main problems related to their own international creative development: - the European film market is dominated by large Hollywood studios, and the creative exchange between individual European countries is too small, - young filmmakers' knowledge about the possibilities of international cooperation and European mechanisms supporting their artistic development is negligible, and there are also no educational centers that can propose this type of educational offer. The youth stated that the educational task related to the development of international cooperation between beginner filmmakers from Europe must be completed by another structure, e.g. a non-formal education program, the aim of which will be to exchange experience allowing them to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in their future development creative on the European film market. Taking advantage of the fact that in November 2020 annual meetings of young filmmakers from around the world are held in Warsaw, young people wanted to initiate the project "MOVE - Manufactory of Visual Education" - a unique international youth exchange dedicated to issues of directing and creative film production. The project will be based on the peer education of young, novice creators, animating the exchange of experiences and developing cooperation between young debutants from individual European countries. When planning their venture, young people decided to focus on searching for modern and pioneering ways to exchange knowledge and experience regarding the process of creative film production and directing that European cinematographies give in the context of support and development of young film talent. They stated that only creating an initiative that is a European platform for young artists' cooperation can become a real development space, allowing them to go beyond the limitations associated with the functioning of individual national cinematographies. It is in transnational activities implemented as part of European cooperation that young people interested in future development in the audiovisual industry see not only their individual future but also the future of European cinema. Each participant of "MOVE - Manufactory of Visual Education", sharing their experience and knowledge will contribute to enriching the multicultural character of the project. The grassroots creation of an initiative enabling young people to improve their passion will become a real impulse for development for young European cinema. The program planned under the project will allow young people not only to develop creative skills, but also to gain practical experience and information on the process of creative film production and the relationship of the creative producer with the director, which, in contrast to the traditional (superior-subordinate) relationship between "producer and director "is a partnership relationship in which young filmmakers create creative and production duets and work together to develop their own film projects. In the intention of the participants of "MOVE - Manufactory of Visual Education", this project will contribute not only to the development of their knowledge and experience on new models of film production and production, but also to the development of artistic passion and motivation as well as to increase intercultural awareness and strengthen the European dialogue of young filmmakers . "MOVE" will enable them to move efficiently on the European market and will allow them to undertake thoughtful artistic cooperation - thus inscribing in the goals of the educational mobility of the ERASMUS + program.
