We are young people who do not live in the most developed EU countries, but we have the ambition to become "modern Europeans" and catch up with our peers from London, Berlin, Paris or Madrid. We understand very well that belonging to the EU gives young people like us many development opportunities, but as it happens in life, to be able to realize their ambitions, commitment and persistent work are necessary. We are not afraid of hard work, we also have the enthusiasm to engage with all our heart in projects in which we see a chance for development for ourselves. The implementation of the "Modern European" project under the Erasmus + program is to be the answer to our ambitions, dreams and expectations. It is a program tailored perfectly to us, providing its beneficiaries with the opportunity to "spread their wings" as well as entering a much higher level than in the case of local and regional activities that have so far been our part. The implementation of the project is also an opportunity for our organizations to expand their influence, gain recognition, establish cooperation with attractive partners, build staff ready to support the ambitions of our associations in achieving statutory objectives (also at international level). The main goal of our project is our transformation into a "Modern European". In order for this to happen, we must not only change our mental transformation, we must also expand our European awareness, acquire knowledge on the basis of which we will gain causative power to cope in educational, economic, political, social and learn to use information and communication tools. that today's technology gives us. That is why during the project we will focus our attention on the topics of EU citizenship, European awareness and democracy. We believe that one cannot be a "modern European" without understanding the mechanisms that provide space not only for personal development but also within NGOs, local communities, and their countries. An equally important element of our project as acquiring knowledge about EU citizenship, European awareness and democracy will be "friendship" with information and communication technologies and the acquisition of digital competences. This is why we intend to create the "Modern European" internet platform as part of the project, which will include: a website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube channel. Our intention is to create a space within which content on EU citizenship, European awareness and democracy will be able to be displayed on the publicly accessible Internet (information and communication) platform we have created. We are convinced that the combination of knowledge about EU citizenship, European awareness and democracy with information and communication technologies will not only help us become "Modern Europeans" but will also affect our peers in Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic and maybe even in other EU countries.
