Objectives

The project activities have contributed to meeting the school's identified needs arising from the European Development Plan. The implementation of the mobility project created an opportunity to develop a network of channels between vocational training institutions and allowed the school to improve its educational offer to better meet the needs of young people entering the labour market. Improving professional, linguistic and social competences, implementing the ECVET system, ensuring better recognition of competences referenced to the levels of the European Qualifications Framework, confirming and certifying learning outcomes with tools recognised in EU countries including ECVET (Individual Achievement List and Europass Mobility), comparing organisational solutions and technologies, recognising the needs of the labour market and better preparing students for the dynamically changing expectations of employers in EU countries, and increasing the experience of teachers in managing the next Erasmus+ project and improving the competences of vocational subject teachers - these are the basic assumptions of the European School Development Plan, which the project has made possible.

Background

Internships abroad as part of EU projects have been carried out at the school since 2008 without interruption (not including the pandemic period). They have become something of a showcase for the school. In surveys we conduct among first-year students, when asked the question "Give a reason for choosing our school", as many as 30% of respondents indicated the possibility of doing an internship abroad as one of the reasons. By appropriately structuring the recruitment regulations, placements abroad are a motivating factor for better academic results. They give students the opportunity not only to test the knowledge they have acquired at school in practice, but above all to train soft competences such as flexibility, self-organisation, cooperation in an international team and coping with stress. Internships enable students to improve their language skills. They enable the school to act internationally and exchange good practices with foreign partners. In 2018, we obtained the VET Mobility Charter and in 2020 the Erasmus+ Accreditation, which confirmed that the introduction of internships abroad into the school's permanent offer was the right choice.
