Objectives

The main objective of the project was to increase and improve the professional skills of the internships participants, improve the efficiency of using digital technologies and modern work tools in the performance of professional tasks, as well as the efficiency of communicating in a foreign language in professional and everyday situations. The mobility of staff will ensure better quality of work in the future, modern tools and methods of education, greater flexibility and openness to new solutions in vocational education, closer relations with employers and international cooperation. The implementation of this project was particularly important considering the characteristics of its participants. About 72% of ZSE students live in the countryside, more than 30% require financial support. These are young people often coming from low-income families, threatened with unemployment, in which stereotypes of thinking about professional activity, participation in social and cultural life should be changed.

Background

The implementation of the project was a part of creation of the international dimension of the school and is a response to changes taking place in the economic, legal, technological and demographic environment. Modern labour market expects from economic and administrative employees as well as those employed in trade and printing, knowledge of various procedures and legal regulations, use of modern technical devices and efficient use of a foreign language. Work in these areas also requires good knowledge and efficient use of specialized computer programs: warehouse, financial and accounting, HR, graphic, ensuring proper relations with the client. Employers expect from graduates not only professional competences at a high level, but also the ability to cooperate in a group and organizational efficiency. Students expect from the school attractive methods of work, well-prepared teachers, opportunities to acquire additional competences. The goals set in the project reflected the needs of students, expectations of employers and a modern vocational school.
