Organisations from different countries and of different nature have combined their common experience in educating disadvantaged people in the labour market who want to become economically independent or start a new career through self-employment. Five organisations use their experience to create a mobile educational game with clear and easily assimilable content. The game is to guide and educate the entrepreneur before starting his own business. The game will include such issues as: civil rights, social and psychological aspects of business activity, support from financial and non-financial instruments of the European Union, freedom of movement of people, services and goods on the Community market and entrepreneurs' rights.

Objectives

Through the project, we wanted to exchange experiences between career counselors and entrepreneurship trainers from each partner organization and, based on this, develop a scenario for a mobile educational game for people who plan to start a business. Through international cooperation, we planned to develop the technical side of the game and, in cooperation with external entities from Hungary, Spain and Germany, to develop the graphic side. The project was also to promote one's own business activities at partner institutions.

Background

Since 2004 when the labor market was reformed in Poland and a new labor market instrument was introduced in the form of grants for starting a business. This was one of the objectives of the European Social Fund, which had already been implemented in the "old EU" countries . Since then, the demand for training in setting up one's own business has increased. During the 14 years of availability of the instrument, the regulations and conditions for starting and running a business were changing, primarily this was related to the adaptation of Polish law to the EU. The project was created precisely to systematize this knowledge and create a platform to bring together in one place the sources of the most important information. The reason for applying for the funds was to create a tool for career counselors and entrepreneurship trainers, but also as a tool for self-improvement of the competencies of people in the target group. The applicant has been conducting entrepreneurship training since 2004 and has trained more than 12,000 unemployed people who were planning to start their own business, based on this experience and the partners the project was developed and support was applied for.
