Background

We applied for the HEALTHY 50+ project because our goal, as a leading organization, was to expand and develop the competences of educators and other employees of our organization and the organizations of our partners, which are adult educational institutions. We assumed that by exchanging knowledge, experiences and attitudes between educators, we would lead to an increase in the number of known and used methods, tools, approaches and solutions in working with people over fifty. As a consequence, this was to improve the quality of education in our organizations. In the project, we intended to focus on the health of people over 50. Our goal was in particular areas related to the ability to take care of one's health and mental well-being. We wanted the project's activities to also include counteracting social exclusion of the 50+ age group and including elements of intergenerational cooperation in the project. The project was to respond to the needs of educators and students 50+ from five organizations participating in the project.
