Background

We applied for the project in the time of Covid while the profession of the musicians suffered dramatically and for the longest period of time. We decided that this is a great moment to realise international project for young musicians in order to show them new trends in working (online toold/remotely) and encourage them to stay or commence their careers in the creative sector. This was the period in which a lot of musicians started to fly away from the profession and the creative sector is said to generate a huge income to the economy of the European Union. The need at the time of application process was to meet with teenagers from other countries, be inspired, learn new skills, travel and get the grasp of the profession of the musician. We also planned to enhance the capacity of 4 organisations working directly with disadvantaged youth who suffered most during the time of covid. We wished to make folk music more popular among youth and music being a great tool for social integration. We wanted to promote the idea of preserving cultural heritage of 4 European countries to show youth that we have folk music, folk traditions and it is worth remembering and cultivating among youth nowadays.
