It was intended to invest in the training of teachers and PND through Job Shadowing activities and the attendance of Structured Courses. Emphasis was placed on job shadowing activities, in order to more directly achieve the following general objectives, summarized here: Observing the school environment, monitoring the development of school activities and experiencing the daily lives of partners; Compare educational systems, methodologies and practices; Share good practices among partners; Increase institutional and professional relationships; Establish contacts with new European partners to promote partnerships and collaborative work; Develop new working methods and acquisition of new skills in the PND; Develop new skills, methods and innovative pedagogical practices for teachers to be implemented in the teaching/learning processes and in the flexible management of curricula; Increase the collaborative work between teachers of the various teaching cycles; Increase the use of ICT in the classroom, as a strategy to facilitate learning and motivate students; Contribute to reducing the failure rate to levels below 10% and the abandonment rate to 0.5%.
The AEE carried out a needs survey, which resulted in an Improvement Plan and a Strategic Action Plan. It was sought that the European Development Plan contribute to improvements in the AEE, responding to detected weaknesses. Priority areas were identified, 4 Goals were defined and several objectives were elaborated, summarized here: M1 Internationalize the AEE Develop a European identity and dimension in the training of teachers and non-teaching staff (PND); Establish partnerships with European schools; Develop language skills. M2 Encourage the implementation of good practices. Share innovative and differentiated educational practices (eg ICT); Develop skills and practices in the PND. Develop language skills; Increase motivation and satisfaction. M3 Inclusion Properly integrate students of different nationalities and ethnicities. Adapt teaching processes to the individual characteristics and conditions of each student, Commit to inclusive education. M4 Management and leadership Develop skills and improve management practices, Foster the exchange of practices with other European schools; Understand practices and education systems in European countries; Foster collaborative work.
