This Project resulted from a joint, participatory and recurrent reflection, at the Board of Directors of the Schools Associated with the Francisco de Holanda Training Center (EA/CFFH), in which the members, given the constant legislative changes, the growing responsibilities and complexities of the educational system, they diagnosed the need to form a broad knowledge network, where they could express the constraints felt daily and allow them to improve and develop their performance in school leadership. The objectives included, among others, the following: - Empower school leaders to be agents of change; - Improve capacity for organizational learning, communication and conflict management; - Create a culture of collaboration and professional development, with a view to creating entrepreneurial work teams; - Knowing models and instruments that enable the school to solve its problems; - Create new work dynamics in the schools involved; - Share, disseminate and disseminate learning among members of the educational community; - Improve the quality of the educational service provided in the institutions.
The Francisco de Holanda Training Center had/has its strong point in the survey of needs that it has carried out with the associated Schools for many years. Decree-law 127 of 2015, of July 7th, confirmed that the procedure was correct and validated the way we work/support the Schools. The Director is the key figure of each organization and the one who has the strategic vision of the specific context of his School. All Directors (in case 13) have the same functional content and the same skills, so it is important that each respond contextually to the needs of their School that are expressed in the respective training plans that make up, in harmony, the Centre's training plan. Having been diagnosed by this “collective” the need to innovate, undertake, communicate, internationalize, globalize, in order to respond effectively to the challenges of the 21st century, the ideal response was found in this Project, the one that effectively trained and empowered the leaders. Due to the Project's theme, the selection process of participants was natural: they were the Directors and/or members of the Management team.
