Objectives

For the first objective, we aimed to improve the success and learning quality to above-average levels. Our intention was that the teachers who attended the courses would use innovative techniques and methodologies in their classes, which could lead to greater motivation and student ‘participation affecting, positively the success of their teaching. Also, knowing that the personal, physical, psychological, and emotional well-being can be considered promoters of academic success, and a better capacity for time management of teaching and non-teaching staff, we considered it important to provide training that promotes positive psychological changes, and integrative behaviours, which can be obtained from stress elimination techniques based on meditation and mindfulness. Regarding Management for EducationalSuccess, building in management and leadership for success was seen as one of the critical factors, and for this reason, it was also important to provide training management support for educational success and global training and also in the area of Project Management (design, implementation, and management), thus acquiring new skills in teamwork and management.

Background

The project entitled "#POTEDOSBRILHOS" (“#shinninpot”)was the challenge we set ourselves. This project came to meet the outlined in our European Development Plan that is strongly linked to our Innovation Plan and Pluriannual Improvement, ensuring strong coherence in the outlined strategies. When we decided to write this project, we chose to focus on two main objectives that would serve to respond to the identified weaknesses, which are also linked to the priority objectives of the School Educational Project and aimed to ensure dissemination. The objectives to be achieved were the following: • School success and improvement of learning: Improvement of school success; Improvement of the quality of learning; Provide teachers with innovative practices/tools to combat dropout and failure; Disseminate the pedagogical practices learned during the courses; Disseminate the skills acquired by participating teachers; • Management for educational success: To create a resource center in the following intervention areas: Pedagogical Leadership; Circular Management; Partnerships; To widen the spectrum of participation in the Pedagogical Intervention Strategy of the Portuguese educational system.
