The ultimate goal of the project was to improve the teaching and learning process, reflecting in the success of students and reducing early school dropout through new strategies and methodologies to be applied both inside and outside the classroom. Additionally, the aim was to promote the inclusion of all individuals and create a sense of belonging and unity within a multicultural dynamic. This project sought to train educational agents and members of the management team to facilitate fundamental changes in the institution, creating the necessary conditions to enhance the quality of teaching processes, promote improved learning outcomes for students, and reduce academic failure and dropout rates. Participation in this Erasmus+ program aimed to foster the desirable European dimension and internationalization of the school, promoting cooperation and networking with other European organizations. This includes the organizations that conducted the training as well as the contacts established with colleagues participating in these same training sessions, expanding the network of contacts and fostering collaboration for the development of future projects.
The priority for implementing projects that enhance the quality of education and public service in schools, alongside those that promote the development of 21st-century skills in students, is a common practice in this school cluster. Each educational institution within the cluster has been concerned, over the years, with offering a set of complementary activities to the curricula and serving as a privileged space for the realization of multiple actions that align with the concept of a global and community-oriented school. This aims to provide children and young people with pedagogical, recreational, and healthy occupation of their free time. The European dimension (awareness of European citizenship, multiculturalism, cooperative work, and collaboration) is achieved through real experiences, where teachers interact with their counterparts from countries with different experiences. Such interactions serve as catalysts for solving existing problems in the school, such as early school dropout. More than just combating this issue, our goal is to promote academic success by applying the best practices learned through these contacts.
