The project aimed to promote lifelong learning for the professionals involved and to provide them with effective tools to solve the identified problems. The aim was to improve school well-being and the classroom climate through the observation of mediation practices and the implementation of conflict prevention strategies, in order to reduce problems of indiscipline. The project aimed to develop the professional and relational skills of the participants and the remaining group of teachers and non-teaching staff, through their participation in the programmed activities, the implementation of learning in context, the promotion of collaborative work and peer dissemination actions. It was also intended to increase the number of lessons taught using new approaches, methodologies and strategies, not only by the teachers involved, but also by other teachers of the school, after the mobility activities. The improvement of the intercultural and communicative competences of the school community would contribute to the internationalisation process of the School Cluster.
The presentation of the project resulted from the analysis of the needs of the School Cluster expressed in its structuring documents: training in pedagogical quality and conflict management in a school environment. The problem of indiscipline detached the students from the learning process and the school experience was occasionally marked by violent situations that generated instability and insecurity. Therefore, it was necessary to outline an action strategy that privileged an inter-institutional articulation capable of responding to the identified problems. It was expected that the competences to be acquired by the participants during the training would increase the motivation of the students, the cooperative learning, and lead to the responsibility of all the educational actors, preventing conflictual and aggressive relationships. Essentially, the project aimed to contribute to the creation of a healthy school culture.
