EAPA, in all its Eramus+ projects, wants vocational education to be seen as an alternative quality qualification way for the conclusion of secondary education. Internally the school intends to increase the number of students seeking its professional courses, and externally see regionally and nationally recognized the quality of their training, thus reinforcing the acceptance of its students in the most different places of internship, with the possibility of a future integration in the labor market. From an immediate perspective, the CEM project allows the extension of training places in the context of work to the European context, responding to a problem that the school encounters when searching for internship places appropriate to the skills of its students and graduates in Portugal.
EAPA sees the "Creativity in European Mobility" project as a means of broadening its cultural, social and linguistic horizons, promoting the active participation of its students and staff in the European area, fostering values such as inclusion, diversity and tolerance. The goal of the 42 mobility is to benefit the school as a whole, motivating students and staff to greater openness to others, as well at changes and differences. The school also understands that this is one of the best ways to capitalize on the language and digital skills of the school community. Exposure to new pedagogical approaches and motivation to do differently are gains from staff mobility, the subsequent dissemination of which contributes to the improvement and enrichment of good practices. The CEM project also fulfils the function of broadening the perspective of the labour market to the students, moving it from a local perspective to the European area. The gains that students benefit from entering the labour market – autonomy, resilience, cooperation and adaptation to different contexts – are exposed by an experience abroad, where they also have the possibility of knowing the European heritage common to different peoples.
