The main objective of this project is to provide students with essential skills that will help them to integrate a global society, by raising their awareness on cultural diversity, education for ethical values; thus contributing for a critical and participatory society; promoting the ability to adapt to change; boosting interpersonal relationships; fostering autonomy; enhancing technical and professional knowledge; deepening the knowledge of non-native languages. Furthermore, we also focus on motivating our teachers for lifelong learning; knowledge and adoption of international education practices; use of diversified strategies; and promotion of collaborative work among peers.
Proforal's mission is the human and professional training of young people. The concern for their future is constant. Thus, in an increasingly globalized world, these young people need opportunities and skills in order to have a broader vision and a more global role. Participation in this project encourages the flow of ideas, information, values and interests, bridging cultures and helping each one to relate to the other's experience, thus promoting openness, awakening interest in different cultural realities, providing cooperation between young people, while stimulating the improvement of teaching and learning process quality. We developed this project because we felt the need to motivate students by empowering them for the challenges of the future, whether on a social, personal or professional level. This project allowed us to give these young people the opportunity to live an international experience in order to have a positive impact on their future. Moreover, we feel the need to promote the improvement of our teachers' skills, so that they have the tools to follow up on these changes and build up a better response to all new different social-cultural contexts and diverse pedagogical needs.
