Objectives

This project was designed with goals at three levels: - In the most restricted level, it aimed at increasing the participants' skills and aptitudes, by allowing them to live a unique and enriching experience, which broadened their horizons and widened their perspective in terms of a future profession; - On the other hand, the project emphasized CICCOPN's internationalisation strategy, by opening up the Centre to partnerships with similar institutions and/or companies in other European countries; - Lastly, in the widest level, it allowed the appreciation of vocational training, so often considered as second class education, by granting the young people who choose it access to experiences that enrich them both at the personal and professional levels.

Background

Project “Internationalizing Training at CICCOPN – InForCIC” was designed to promote the transnationality of vocational training, by empowering the participants with a new skillset to be applied in the training practice, aiming to improve their overall qualification. With this project, the young people were able to acquire new skills, which will allow them to face their professional future more openly and will give them new perspectives in terms of employment, in an economic sector that knows no frontiers. The participants' geographical mobility allowed them to enhance their technical and technological training with increased skills, for a more comprehensive training. On the other hand, the opportunity that this experience created will have positive effects in CICCOPN, allowing us to attract new candidates, interested in obtaining a more complete qualification in the Building sector, whether in Portugal ou somewhere else in Europe.
