Objectives

The XPTO+ VII project had as main objectives: 1. Alignment with European VET reference organisations through the adoption of best pedagogical practices and methodologies and staff capacity building. 2. Raising the quality, recognition, and impact of VET on the labour market and on young people through increased employability and post-diploma occupation, combating absenteeism and school failure. 3. Contribution to a tolerant, knowledge-based, socially cohesive, cosmopolitan, and intercultural society by ensuring inclusive mobility for all.

Background

The XPTO+ consortium results from the partnership established in 2014 between EUROYOUTH, promoter, and the schools, sending entities - Agrupamento de Escolas de Santo André (AESA), Escola Profissional de Fafe (EPFafe), Escola Profissional de Rio Maior (EPRM) and Academia Total - IEDP. The XPTO+ project brings these organisations together through an active role in the international mobility of young students, recent graduates, and staff and, working together, allows them to enhance their intervention and skills, maximising the profitability of human and material resources invested in this type of project. All the elements of the Consortium believe in education and vocational, social and personal training as fundamental instruments for prosperity and social cohesion, and the objectives are centred on the promotion of employability and European citizenship through the creation of training opportunities for people looking for their first job at European level; to guarantee the quality and updating of the consortium's training offer and vocational guidance; promotion of organisational development and internationalisation; to contribute to the social, cultural and economic development of Portugal and Europe.
