Objectives

The AECV recognizes the importance the students' qualification process represents in its field of operation the reason for investment in actions that promote the development and reinforcement of fundamental technical skills for the increasingly global labour market. Bearing this in mind this project was developed to enable AECV students and teachers to participate in Erasmus+ projects. The accomplishment of the different mobilities, made it possible to achieve the objectives that are common to the three professional courses involved, such as: - increase the level of personal and professional training of trainees; - promote professional education; - expand the international partnership networks by promoting entrepreneurship initiatives; - promote quality in school organization and the visibility of the AECV; - improve the relationship between the training area and the labour market; - increase active and participative citizenship; - involve students in European projects; - contribute for the awareness of being part of the European community In a nutshell, this project was of utmost importance for the integration of the concept of internationalization of education and professional training into AECV’s organizational culture.

Background

The Agrupamento de Escolas de Caldas de Vizela (AECV) is aware of the advantages of the ERASMUS+ Program in promoting cooperation, exchange and mobility between different educational and professional training systems, thus significantly contributing to the personal and professional development of both trainees and teachers. Education, training and the promotion of employability are essential pillars for the development of AECV. Based on these pillars, the project “Growing in Europe: Let's Share Social and Professional Skills!” aimed at promoting the mobility of trainees for learning purposes and responding to the needs identified by the AECV. This project was a catalyst for sustainable practices and values for the region, it was an innovative instrument for concertation and articulation among the various actors that responded to the needs and opportunities of the labour market, and also intended to promote inclusion and equal opportunities for all students, regardless of the difficulties they may have in terms of learning skills. Thus, this project presented itself as a tool to meet the needs of the region in terms of attractiveness of education and professional training.
