Through the mobility of trainers, the identification of knowledge, skills and qualifications that allow the introduction of innovative practices in the courses for which they are responsible, and also the learning of specific technical vocabulary, and the increase of language skills, of great impact in the automotive sector, in which technical information about the vehicles provided in languages other than Portuguese is used. Being CEPRA a sectorial Protocol Centre, it is also determinant the permanent contact with the companies and guarantee that the training of new professionals properly trained to respond to the real needs of the labour market. The mobility of young people allowed to compare the needs of similar foreign companies to those of the sector in which CEPRA operates, allowing to guide training activities towards the acquisition of skills appropriate to the new reality of the labour market.
CEPRA intervenes in the Car Repair sector, which is undergoing rapid technological and organisational transformation, with the introduction of new driving assistance systems, vehicles connected by dynamic mobile communication systems, mandatory reduction of pollutant emissions, exponential increase of electric propulsion (in coexistence with conventional engines) and new mobility concepts (ex "carsharing"). This context requires professionals in the sector to acquire new skills, high technological specialisation and high complexity, to be carried out in a limited period of time. The adaptation of CEPRA to respond to the appropriate qualification of human resources in the sector is a challenge that requires teams of technicians and trainers with high technical know-how and the ability to innovate in terms of pedagogical practices and methods and motivation for learning, which requires the identification of new technical, relational and citizenship skills, only possible through the sharing of experiences with similar training centres internationally, and subsequent adoption by CEPRA of more efficient and innovative solutions.
